Horror on the Orient Express Kickstarter

Kickstarter has been around for a while, and I have seen a few miniatures and games companies using it to good effect to fund new projects. I have rarely been tempted to put any money down, but today I received an email that may very well change that.

Chaosuim, a long running company who have a history of not funding reprints of their enormous and well though of back catalogue due to lack of ready funds, have finally joined the Kickstarter funding bandwagon. Their reprint of choice, Horror on The Orient Express.

I have never played through this adventure fully, although it was run fully at 'The Club', the gaming group I was a member of in my school days. I may very well have played a few times, but my PCs had a habit of being killed off. With a group as large as we had, character death was inevitable and frequent, unless of course you were best mates/brother of the GM, but I digress.

In recent years I have collected a fair amount of the OOP Chaosium back catalogue, but I have never seen a hard copy of this campaign. I have a PDF, but that is far from the real thing.

After a mere 2 days, they have not only reached their goal, but as of my writing this they have been funded to over double their original amount, I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing the addition of some stretch goals. What,s more, i think it also fair to assume that we'll be seeing more of Chaosium on Kickstarter.

It's only a matter of time before I pledge to campaign. The only real question is to what level I am willing to commit. I think I'll give it a couple of days to see what other tasty treats they add to sweeten the deal.
